Bus service for dogs in Berlin

Our European cousins are at it again!

In Berlin, there is a new bus service exclusively for dogs, to take them to a day-care centre, where “they can play, eat or relax in special hotel rooms” while their busy owners are at work.

Imagine that!!

The hotel called Pfoetchenhotel (Paw Hotel) is equiped with cabins fitted with air-conditioning, central-heating, blankets and music, all for the dogs (full story here).

The exclusive bus ride costs 15 euros per passenger. The bus runs 5 days a week and takes up to 20 dogs.

Really interesting…..

UK Immigration Figures Falling

Well, it was bound to happen eventually….

It has been reported that Eastern European migrants coming to work in the UK has fallen to its lowest level since EU expansion in 2004, according to Home Office figures (full story here).

A combination of Home Office efforts, improving conditions in their home countries, social effects on the hosting communities, difficult jobs conditions etc, have led to some immigrants realising that the grass is not necessarily greener in the UK.

Interesting isn’t it….

Audrey dumps Bill in Coronation Street

Do you watch Coronation Street?

In the last two episodes yesterday, Bill was absolutely vile to Audrey.
He even humiliated her in front of their travelling companions.

Well, the whole sorry trip ended in a car crash with Audrey injured and having to be treated in hospital.

It is surprising how they all squirmed when Audrey’s daughter, Gail, questioned them about how the accident happened.

Well, Audrey goes home, with Bill in tow, who started apologising for his behaviour. But Audrey had had enough and kicks him out of her house.

Good for you Audrey!

About Remote Working

There are many myths about remote working.

Many people assume that remote working is for big organisations and for people who work in an office. Actually remote working happens to everyone.

If you work in an office and you ever need to work from another location, then you are working remotely.

If you work from home and you need to work away from your “desk”, you are working remotely. So if you go to work at a client’s office, construction site, in a cafe or elsewhere, that is remote working.

If you normally work from a particular computer with all your work information on it and you have to work from another computer that you do not normally use, that could also be seen as remote working.

If you are travelling, either locally or internationally, you are working remotely.

In all these situations to make a really good job of it, you need to use remote working tools.

How many remote working tools do you use?

Remote working for small businesses

Remote working enables small businesses to work faster and better.

In today’s faster-paced business environment, small businesses face more demanding situations. Getting work done often requires teamwork and collaboration, often with employees and associates that span the globe. Historically these collaboration challenges were met with business travel, mail, fax, overnight delivery services, and email.

Small businesses do not always have the resources for costly business travel and office space. A far more cost-effective solution for sharing work and managing projects is to use a Web Office.
